Gram-negative bacteria, such as E. coli, are found everywhere and many cause disease. Unfortunately, unlike Gram-positive bacteria, they are surrounded by a barrier called the outer membrane that protected the bacteria from antibiotic treatment. Few of the currently available antibiotics can penetrate this barrier and new antibiotics are urgently needed to combat Gram-negative bacteria infection.
Researchers at Northeastern University investigated bacteria that lives in the gut of a parasitic worm. The researchers reasoned that worm gut bacteria need to produce antibiotics to fend themselves and these antibiotics must be non-toxic to the worm host. They found that a bacteria Photorhabdus khanii produces an antibiotic called darobactin that can kill E. coli and other Gram-negative bacteria but not Gram-positive bacteria. Darobactin does not penetrate the outer membrane barrier. Instead, it disrupts BamA, an important protein located on the barrier that is critical for maintaining the outer membrane barrier. Darobactin was found to be effective at treating mice infected with Gram-negative bacteria and non-toxic to human cells.
This study reveals a new antibiotic that kills drug-resistant bacteria in a totally new way. If successfully developed into a drug that is safe and potent, darobactin may save over ten thousand lives per year in the US alone. Darobactin might also be used together with the currently available antibiotics that cannot penetrate the barrier since darobactin interfere with the barrier integrity, making old drugs useful again.

This has been full of wonderful information about parasites. I am a diabetic and also know for fact I have a parasitic worm all my systems match everyone’s here so here I go going to try the garlic and yogurt… Does rubbing alcohol help kill the eggs??

I’ve been suffering with something similar for two years now. Movement under the skin that you can see and feel from the outside. Biting sensations under the skin. Wormlike things coming out of my nose and mouth. Painful lesions and cysts. Antibiotics haven’t helped. Ivermectin and Albendazole relieve the severity but havent cured it. I suspect it is now disseminated, everything hurts. I feel strange internal pains the likes of which I’ve never felt before. Muscle pain and the sensation of something moving through the muscle. Infected hair follicles on my face. Swollen eyebrows, swelling on one side of my jaw, swelling on one side of my neck. Swollen testicles, pain and transitory swelling in my hands and feet. Calabar swelling behind my knee. My neck and back are so stiff and painful and my head hurts constantly. Nausea and little appetite except for ravenous sugar cravings at night. In the past two years three teeth have essentially just fallen out. Tiny cuts and specks and debris coming out of my skin all the time. The texture of my skin itself has changed, it’s slimy like there is a film over it that doesn’t wash off. The texture of my mucus has changed. Again thick and slimy, like an ooze you’d see in a horror movie. Little white wormlike things in my mouth after I eat. Wheezing when I breathe. A two cm long pink wormlike thing came out of my nose. Bumps on my head. My immune system seems to be being significantly modulated by something, and I keep picking up opportunistic infections. No elevated eosinophils though, so doctors don’t believe it can be parasitic, although there appear to be multiple types of parasites that can present without elevated eosinophils. I am not hopeful of a diagnosis. Afraid to bring samples in because I’ll appear crazy—matchbox syndrome. Have tried every medication and treatment I’ve been able to obtain and although some have helped, whatever this is is incredibly resilient and will not give up. I feel like I’m being eaten alive and just want it to end.

Thank you for sharing your struggle. Recommend eating 3 T pumpkin seeds and 2 raw garlic cloves daily. Can make a herb pumpkin seed garlic hummus as a dip. Can make a cucumber garlic herb yogurt sauce (use cucumber with seeds and include the seeds) (can remove the peel). Garlic straight up is intense but I chew a clove and wash it down with water. Some people cook garlic in milk, let it cool and chill overnight, and drink on an empty stomach in the morning to draw parasites out of the gut lining. I make a breakfast shake of coconut flakes, chia and pumpkin seeds soaked in watery yogurt overnight. Can also take black walnut, artemesia, clove pills, 2x a day. It takes least 2 full moon cycles before symptoms will diminish with any treatment. Fresh pineapple with the core and Papaya are effective gut cleansers ( Thai green papaya salad is as well). MCT oil is a great gut cleanser. Can try drinking 1 t diatomaceous earth in water. Can try taking a spoon of castor oil chased down with tea. I’m a fan of Undecyn by Thorne for gut cleansing (has castor oil fatty acids with berberine in it). Wishing you determination, patience, bravery and luck battling your invaders! when you have less infestation symptoms, try drinking bone broth, taking colostrum pills, trace mineral pills and or a multi vitamin if you tolerate b vits to build up your immune system and repair your gut. If that doesnt help strengthen you, determine if you are toxic in environmental chemicals. They weaken the immune system and allow parasites to flourish. If you get heart burn or belching easily you might be low magnesium or low stomach acid (step 1 to dissolving worms and cysts before they colonize your GI tract is stomach acid) so supplement with both (mag away from meals, Betain HCL with meals). Prevent more worms by freezing your meat and fish for 1 week before eating and washing fruits and veg carefully. Garlic is your friend, learn to grow it! And eat it if you travel.

I have the exact same symptoms Accept the worms are whitish or grey and I’m testing negative for everything. Though there was stuff in my stool it wasn’t parasitic. I have holes in my skin and white worn like things coming out and the sugar the teeth all that is happening too! Nodules in my head and under skin the dermatologist just said it’s dry skin and they all think I’m crazy. I have pancreatitis now and I’m in severe pain my memory is going and I feel it’s affecting my mental health! I’m terrified.

I was finally prescribed 10 days of Flagyl and 3 days of Ivermectin after 2 months of being sick after returning from the Dominican Republic. I’m hopeful this will resolve my parasite issue. I know first hand this is a huge issue in US; if you don’t test positive (which can be difficult) they are hesitant to provide any medication.
You can go to Atwood’s or somewhere similar and they sell liquid Albendazole for animals, (exact same drug used in humans though, and one of the most common anti-parasitics used). They also have Ivermectin and Febendazole. Febendazole isn’t approved in humans though tests have been down
Showing it as safe. It is chemically very similar to Mebendazole, which is another very commonly prescribed drug for parasitic infections in humans.

Have you had any luck getting treatment yet? I think I’m in your same situation. Started seeing symptoms around 3 years ago. This past year though I’m beginning to believe I’ve had whatever this is for much longer. It is having the most affect on my eyes, lower legs and feet…. sometimes hands. They’ve done tons of blood work and various tests for about everything imaginable from lupus to cancer to neuropathy….. everything negative. But no one has really looked for parasites even though it was the first thing I asked to be done. Was told by the first doctor it was in my head. On my very first visit…. and she asked if I wanted to know how she knew that. Well…. of course I did considering it was the first time we met. Her answer was… ‘ because 95% of my patients that think they have a parasite, it’s in their head.’ So in return I said … ‘ why do I have to be in that 95%? Someone has to make up the other 5% that do have it… why not me?’ She shook her head at me and laughed. But no reply. Now because of her opinion everyone just takes it as fact and 3 years later Im miserable, tired and pretty much lost all hope of feeling normal again. I can’t even remember what normal feels like. I don’t think I have the energy left to care. I keep telling myself something will happen that can’t be ignored…. some kind of proof. I just don’t want that proof to come in the form of a toe tag. Garlic and probiotic yogurt even garlic powder in warm water drink it I promise you it works, you’ll have to repeat the procedure for a while and then do a second round later to take care of any eggs that hadn’t hatched and clean everything with sprays and cleaners that kill worm eggs they can stay on everything up to 3 weeks… Drs aren’t very smart of they can’t find anything they don’t like to admit they don’t know or they’re wrong so they’ll say it’s in people’s head I know Been there just look for remedies yourself pine it’s exactly how I found this and it worked but they came back 2 months later because I didn’t realize the facts about the eggs , so I’m trying to save you the same problem and having to learn by experience this will work if it’s a worm parasite I can’t say it will for any other type for sure. I have a parasitic infection. I have been having diarrhea symptoms for the last 6 weeks. I have used Amodium-AD twice a day for the last 2 weeks and it appears the parasitic infection still exist. Garlic powder in warm water or crushed garlic whatever the case garlic will kill them and probiotic yogurt you use these two things and I can guarantee you that you’ll get rid of them just watch about reinfection…you have to clean everything thyegvs can hang around for 2-3 weeks on everything you’ve been in contact with and they’ll come back there’s a lotta cleaners and sprays that kill the eggs , if you kill the eggs after taking the garlic and probiotics you’ll be fine … just make sure you give it a second round a little later on to get rid of any eggs that have recently hatched since the first dose because they will just come back otherwise. many people don’t realize that it takes heat to kill parasite eggs. that means well over 140 degrees. so it may be people get reinfected from the living environment, and even the washing machine as it isn’t hot enough and it gets in there from clothes. People used to boil clothes for such reasons. Or use scalding hot water. so, be sure to use a hot hot dryer always, and handle wet laundry from the washing machine, with rubber gloves that are ONLY used for that purpose. . Use steam or boiling water to clean things, as chemicals rarely do the job on the worm eggs. Bleach DOESN’T KILL most parasite eggs. This subject takes a LOT of internet info seeking.
If you use garlic, try to use raw, organic garlic, that is freshly crushed- and let it sit for a very few minutes to get the allicin developing. you can put this in water or juice to make it easier to eat.
Is this new drug available yet and if so how can someone get the drug and what is it called? I have had a parasitic infection and cannot get rid of it -trying all sorts of parasitic drugs bought from India as none of the doctors here will prescribe anything because they can’t get any positive testing -our labs here in Arizona do not diagnose parasites.
