SITN Graphic Designers play a key role in facilitating science communication by creating informative visuals that complement written pieces, presentations, and more. Opportunities for engagement include (1) designing illustrative figures for SITN blog pieces, which help communicate scientific topics broadly to a general audience, (2) developing advertisements and supporting graphics for student-led seminars, and (3) creating infocomics and other fun visuals to promote various science initiatives throughout the year.
Graphics designers should: be interested in creating visuals for science communication
Graphics designers don’t need to: have prior graphic design skills or experience, or be familiar with specific software.
